SORBOIL

Custom sorbent purification system

SORBOIL is a custom-built system for advanced oil purification using sorbent media — activated bauxite, Fuller's earth — to reduce acidity, remove sulfur, and capture polar contaminants. Typically a large stationary plant integrated into a production line, with compact mobile versions built for smaller or decentralized work.

  • Custom-built for non-energy applications
  • Engineered for your specific oil
  • Flexible design, fully adaptable

Overview

What SORBOIL does

SORBOIL passes oil through sorbent media — activated bauxite or Fuller's earth — to remove acids, sulfur compounds, and polar contaminants that standard filtration leaves behind. It is the adsorption process applied at industrial scale, for oil production and recycling operations where purification is a critical part of the line.

Each system is engineered to the process: sorbent type, bed volume, residence time, and flow rate are all set to the oil-quality target and production speed. Sorbent handling is tailored to the operating model — single-pass, or integrated reactivation for long-term cost efficiency — with options for vacuum support, precision dosing, automated handling, and integrated heating. Most units are plant-scale; compact mobile systems are built for decentralized treatment.
